 The BT 226 connector was designed to meet the standards required by the users of telecommunications equipment, however in the past few years this connector has gained popularity in the broadcast industry and can be used as a general purpose connector for cable to cable and cable to panel connections. This series of connectors utilises the insulation displacement method of termination (IDC single wire) which eliminates costly wire preparation. Our range of BT 226 connectors are interchangeable and mateable with other BT approved 226 connectors. We stock the most commonly used type of BT 226 connector for use with solid 0.5mm wire. This makes them very suitable for termination on PSN type multipair cables. It should be noted that all cable connectors are supplied with side entry covers and hardware as standard. |
