To highlight the versatility of our 32 per row jackfields, we have introduced them in a connectorised format. The rear panel connectors are industry standard 56 way EDAC connectors or 50way D-sub sockets, which have been chosen to give a high degree of compatibility with the switching matrices used in broadcast systems. These matrices are usually configured in 'building blocks' of 16 circuits, either in MONO (Single) or STEREO (Dual) formats. Therefore by providing a 32 wide jackfield, installation time can be improved, as standard 'one to one' EDAC and D-sub looms can be used to connect the jackfields to the matrix. These jackfields are available wired to suit Maddox, Pro Bel and Quartz switchers. They are wired internally using 4001 series OFC audio cables so that the audio appears on the front in Stereo pairs. Other configurations requiring different normalling, earthing or rear panel connectors, can be manufactured. The front and rear panels are finished in Dawn Mist semigloss paint with Alochromed top and bottom covers to aid screening. Wiring of the jackfields is as follows: normalling is either half normalled (Listen top row, break bottom row) or normalled (break both rows) with the earth connection carried across individually between top and bottom jacks. All rear panel connectors are female receptacle (402 type) or D-sub sockets and are pinned to the same standard as the switcher. A full pin out is supplied with each jackfield, however, custom pin configurations can be used upon request. Custom units are available to order. PLEASE NOTE: On all the jackfields detailed below, the signals are presented on the front panel in Stereo pairs, i.e. 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R etc., therefore the connectors on the rear panel are wired differently, depending on the configuration of the audio in the router. If the router has two outputs, one supplying 16 channels of Left and the other supplying 16 channels of Right, you should order a jackfield with 'Single' configuration. If the router has two outputs, one supplying channels 1 to 8 Left & Right and the other supplying channels 9 to 16 Left & Right, you should then order a jackfield with 'Dual' configuration. |
