 The Stratos VMC media converters are a high performance integrated HDSDI link for uni-directional communication over single mode fibre. The VMC-T-H-2 and VMC-R-H-2 are designed to be used in multi-protocol video applications with data transfer rates up to 1.485Gbps (SMPTE 292M/297M/259M/305M/310M). The media converter modules are designed to connect to electrical high speed serial data video links that require extended distance performance. Both units include a Digital Diagnostics Monitoring Interface (DDMI), which allows real-time access to device operating parameters and alarm flags to alert users when particular paramters stray outside the factory set 'normal' range.
