 Designed for space limited applications, EZ-MON provides front panel selection between dual SDI & dual CVBS input picture sources. De-embedding audio is standard for SDI, with auto switching between 50 & 60Hz. The high brightness 4.5 inch LCD supports both 16:9 and 4:3 ratios with minimal picture cutoff. Comprehensive audio monitoring is provided, with 4 channel switching, between SDI, Group1, Gp2 and (an optional) dual AES port. Selection between A1 & A2 or A3 & A4, for loudspeaker or headphone monitoring is by front panel switch. Stereo 10 Watt speakers punch through ambient noise and provide a good, general purpose, monitoring quality. A degree of electronic compensation for the limited separation of the loudspeakers, and their restricted extreme LF response, is provided internally when initially commissioned, but this may be varied, or removed altogether, if desired. The front panel headphone socket is driven from a 'clean feed' independent amplifier, and is not subject to the electronic compensation of the LSA. The 1/4 inch jack socket will drive either high or low impedance headphone loads, and linear current limiting is employed to reduce the risk of excessive sound levels. Utilising the headphone monitoring output, it is even possible to mount, and operate, EZ-MONs in adjacent rack frames without causing audible interference. 4 PPMs, illuminated by white LEDs, with their fast attack & slow decay time ensure that audio levels are accurately monitored. Ultra bright red peak LEDs trigger on peaks exceeding +8.15dBU. Murraypro do not use even 1 dB/step meter LED displays in EZ-MON, and our silky smooth meters will resolve 0.1dB increments. Dual 'Traffic Light' logic PHASE indicators snap from green to red instantly if audio phase anomalies are detected. A major feature of this 2U, 20 cm deep, LCD monitor, is the internal 'universal' power supply which eliminates external boxes, simplifying installation in Flyaway kit, S/ENG vehicles & TV Centres. |
